I was excited to read this book and make some fancy foods for my cats. But right away I noticed some of the recipes called for things like garlic and onions, which are things to seriously avoid giving cats. You can see people foods to avoid giving cats on the ASPCA website: http://www.aspca.org/pet-care/animal-poison-control/people-foods-avoid-feeding-your-pets.
I don't know what half of the foods in this book are, but a lot of them sound delicious! This book made me hungry. Good story, too.
The foster care system can be a troubling place for a young child, and many of them come out scarred and unable to have positive relationships. This book is written by a girl who was tossed around the system and endured many years of abuse, but came out okay. She is now an advocate for children in foster care. I would recommend this book to anyone interested in fostering or adopting a child who has been in the system.
I expected to like this book about a troubled mother/daughter relationship, and even though it touched on subjects that I usually like to read about, I couldn't get into it. It moved too slowly for me, but I finished it hoping for an interesting ending. I was disappointed.
I thought there were a lot of plot holes in this movie. It was boring and the acting was terrible. I have liked Anna Paquin and Mark Ruffalo in other things, but this film was a waste of time.
