This Fancy Nancy book has a bit more substance than some in the series. The book contains a lot of information about insects, birds, plants and nature. I love that even though Nancy and Bree are fancy and frilly and "girly" they aren't afraid to play outside, explore, and look at insects, birds, leaves, etc.
This book is a good introduction for preschoolers to going to the dentist, what the office might look like, what kinds of things will happen during the visit and why they are being done.
Racoon Tune has playful rhymes and clever illustrations of a racoon family out searching for their midnight snack.
Rachel Isadora's retelling of the Grimm Brothers' fairy tale of the greedy fisherman's wife is set in Africa with beautiful illustrations.
I just love Rachel Isadora's illustrations in these retellings of well-known fairy tales set in Africa.
