This book is a good introduction to the story behind the new Disney Junior TV show Sofia the First.
This a cute picture book about a lion who says he is the best in the jungle but has trouble figuring out what exactly he is the best at.
I recently discovered this album (and this band) and it has become my go-to happy music. The tunes are really catchy and the band has a great throw back sound that reminds me of a mix of punk and 60s rockabilly. Wetsuit is one of my favorite songs, I just can't stop singing it.
This wasn't my favorite Disney movie the first time I saw it. It was sad and I just didn't leave the movie feeling like I wanted to see it again. Several years later we caught it on TV and I really enjoyed it, especially the characters of Russell, Doug and Kevin. I still wouldn't rank it at the top of my list but I would definitely watch it again.
"The Secret Keeper" is a well-written novel about family secrets. The book alternates between current day, when Laurel, a grown women, is trying to find out who her mother Dorothy really was, and Dorothy's experience in 1940s London during World War II. The characters are well developed and the story is gripping. I liked the writing style - it really evoked the different time periods and the voices of the various characters.
