This wasn't my favorite Disney movie the first time I saw it. It was sad and I just didn't leave the movie feeling like I wanted to see it again. Several years later we caught it on TV and I really enjoyed it, especially the characters of Russell, Doug and Kevin. I still wouldn't rank it at the top of my list but I would definitely watch it again.
"The Secret Keeper" is a well-written novel about family secrets. The book alternates between current day, when Laurel, a grown women, is trying to find out who her mother Dorothy really was, and Dorothy's experience in 1940s London during World War II. The characters are well developed and the story is gripping. I liked the writing style - it really evoked the different time periods and the voices of the various characters.
This was one of my favorite albums of 2011. Matt Kearney is a talented songwriter. I enjoy his melodies and his lyrics. "Hey Mama" is a great summer song. "Rochester" reminds me a bit of Bruce Springsteen's story-telling songwriting.
I love the stories the panda shares with the children. Every time I read it I try to uncover a little more meaning to the tales.
This is a fun story of a policeman who delivers safety talks at local schools. No one is interested until he brings along his police dog Gloria who livens up his presentation. I love the paper star safety tips on the inside front and back covers.
