A simple, but clever picture book showing that items may be in several different categories (color and shape, shape and ability to fly, etc.).
This is a compilation of previously released works by Ingrid, including many live versions. It is one of my favorites of her albums, a really good combination of songs, fairly mellow. "The Chain" is mesmerizing.
This adaptation was a much more dramatic rendition of the story, with emphasis on the acting, than the stage version. But I though the songs suffered for it. You could tell which actors were hired for their singing ability and who was hired for their name recognition and/or acting ability. Hugh Jackman does a great job as Valjean, he can really hold his own with the songs. But Russell Crowe, while he has a decent voice, did not have nearly enough power to match what I came to expect from the stage version. And Anne Hathaway should have had a singing double. She did a great job actiing out the songs but her voice was almost painful to listen to. All in all I enjoyed the movie but it made me nostalgic for the song quality from the original musical.
This is by far my favorite REM album, and one of my top 10 albums. Nightswimming is simply perfection and Find the River and Sweetness Follows are also excellent.
This book is a good introduction to the story behind the new Disney Junior TV show Sofia the First.
