I am hesitant to watch remakes of films that I absolutely LOVE as I am often unhappy with the results.Wow, this remake was fabulous. Just as gritty and heart-pounding as the first. Well done!
I am a firm belliever in NOT listening to the critics. However, this time the critics got it right. This movie proves that movie stars and beautiful scenery cannot save it from an ill conceived plot and bad dialogue.
So many times throughout the movie I found myself holding my breath in anticipation of how a scene would work out and I was always rewared with that magic that makes one laugh.
Andy (Ann Hathaway), scores an assistants job at a top fashion magazine run by Miranda (Meryl Streep). Andy seems to be in over her head and just not fashionable enough to have won such a coveted position. She is put through the paces and and undergoes a transformation. The question is.... is Andy really where she wants to be?
It has been a few years since my daughter had issues with bedtime. However, this book brought the memories flooding back! I laughed so hard at some of the bedtime nonsense children can put an adult through and the ways "we" handle the situaution. I wish I had written this book. Very funny!
