We can help you get your resume ready for the Washtenaw County Expo! Tuesday, June 24: 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm -- Downtown Library: Training Center

Learn the tools used to create a resume including library resources. Create a resume. Optional: Bring with you your current resume file or data storage device. Classes are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Classrooms will open 15 minutes before the class start times.

WCC Spring Job Fair

The Washtenaw Community College Spring Job Fair will be held on March 26, 2013 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Morris Lawrence Building. Over 75 actively hiring employers are expected to participate. At the job fair, you'll be able to speak with employers face-to-face about opportunities and build your professional network. The fair is open to the public. Get a Job 101 for Teens

Saturday, March 2 | 1:00-3:30 PM | Downtown Library - 4th Floor Meeting Room

Looking for that first job? Get inspired by keynote speakers from Michigan Works and the AADL Human Resources Department. Then attend breakout sessions and pick up tips on completing applications, putting together a resume, and acing the interview.

Learn about creating your own job/business from the Business Side of Youth. Work alternatives? Teens from Youth Empowerment Project will talk about volunteering opportunities and how it can improve your chances of employment.

This program is for teens in grades 9-12.

Business Side of Youth Basics Training starts February 23

Interested in business and how it works? Thinking about starting your own business? You can learn all about it when a 10-week 40 hour youth entrepreneurship training program gets underway on Saturday, February 23 at EMU’s Rackham Hall, Room 219.

Designed for youth ages 13 to 21, you’ll learn about business, developing a business plan, and job readiness skills. Conducted by B. Side: The Business Side of Youth, a program of Eastern Michigan University’s (EMU) Office of Academic Service-Learning.

An early enrollment discount of only $25 (normal enrollment costs $50) is offered to those who send in their application by Wednesday, February 20th. For more info call 734-487-6570.

MPowered Career Fair

With a hundred companies, more than 12 industries, and 400 plus job openings, the MPowered Career Fair gives you an opportunity to have a job in the fast-paced, incredible learning environment of a start-up company. Look for a part or full time position in an intimate setting where you can leave your mark and make an impact. Show off what makes you stand out on January 17 from 1-5 pm at the 2013 MPowered Career Fair, presented by MPowered Entrepreneurship and the University of Michigan’s Center for Entrepreneurship.
