a major problem at the last tournament was that people wanted to use their own controllers. in mario kart when u take a controller out the LAN goes away and we have to restart it again. i dont get what is so special about your controller unless u rigged it to cheat such as when u press A once it does it 5 times. we should let the people use the controllers that are provided so we dont run into any delays like last time. the noise makers made it restart THREE TIMES! NOT TWO THREE!

lol i was playing great termina bay(i hate that place) and i threw a mine on the turtles nose and a jiggly puff actually walked over it lmao. another time was when the turtle goes away there are two bottom platforms and one top one. i was at the right bottom one and a fox hit me off then i do my fire fox but i pushed the control stick too far to the left but then i grab on to the left ledge of the right platform and i was very suprised.

Duck, were I to cease drinking coffee, I suspect my GPA would slide an entire point downward. Rest assured, however, that I utilise caffeine only when the completion of homework threatens to take a number of minutes greater than those available until the hour of one in the morning, or on a day after such an early-morning homework spree; so far this year, I have survived five "all-nighters," wherein all of the time normally set aside for sleep is occupied by the implementation of a homework-completion process. Thus, without the aid of a substantial amount of caffeine, Mrs. Dahl would have observed me sleeping through an entire school week of her AP History class(1st hour) so far, and I would not be alive to write this. I do not, of course, imbibe coffee or caffeinated beverages on weekends except in preparation for events such as the PSAT or a library tournament involving video games. Do you drink coffee at all?

That makes the hall fo fame way too big. I think that Eli should select at most 5 HoFers at the end of each season based on playing skill, contribution to AADL-GT personality, experience and any other important qualities. It's no longer a hall of fame if a bunch of random people who qualify at a tournament with 100 people.

WW may have nicer controls and visuals, but I have a few problems with it. 1) The boat travel was beyond boring. 2) I know hating on the cartoon graphics is really cliche, and to be honest, they didn't ruin the game, but I liked the general atmosphere of OoT way better. 3) The crappy camera angles in OoT are part of the fun :-) 4) OoT has the 5th best storyline of any game I've ever played and the top 4 are all RPGs. I can hardly even remember the plot of WW 5) WW had too much collecting. 6) Tingle.
I would suggest 1500 points if not 2000. The system allows about 16-20 people to accumulate 1000 points in one tournament. There are easily 10 people per tournament that get over 1000, it would cause the HOF to be filled up in only a few tournaments. Having a very high quilifacation requirement makes it so only the best can get in.

It's not a hall of single-round high points scoringness. If we would be to do a hall of fame, simply put, I would unilaterally pick a set of inductees each season. End of story. No popularity contests, no point threshold, no feats of strength or bribery required.
However, one approach might be that only players who are aging out, i.e. that will be graduating and unable to play in the next regular GT season, would be inducted, just like how sports figures aren't usually inducted to a hall of fame until they retire. So, inductees could be chosen out of each year's Senior Class.

First off, I want to say that I so just called that system about 2-3 points ago. Second, the senior idea rocks. We should definately do that. And before everyone starts whining, just remember that you'll be seniors soon, so you'll get you chance. And he said "chosen" not "seniors get in" so it will still be selected. This way everyone gets one shot at it.

I would like to take this opportunity to protest at a perceived inequality of the system governing the freedom of expression at this venue. When I took the liberty of posting a brief comment regarding the president of the United States, it was almost unanimously agreed (with, of course, mine being the sole dissenting voice) that the subject was too controversial for discussion; when, however, the subject of sports teams arises, we see an entirely different picture: Rather than protesting at the broaching of a topic of discussion that is clearly in possession of the potential to be a source of raucous disputation, six several entities elected to argue in favour of their own views on the subject.
Now, I realise this may (or, perhaps, is intended to be) be an unpopular opinion, but it certainly seems to me that the topic of sports teams can give rise to even greater controversy than that of politics, which, when taken with the greater import and general interest value of the latter's subject matter, would tend to be a powerful argument in favour of permitting neither, or, better still, <em>both</em> to be discussed at this forum. <em>THUSLY</em>, I put it to you, that if the number of comments posted regarding the performance of various and sundry athletic organisations reaches, at any time in the future, the respectable number of 'ten,' then I will unilaterally grant myself the right to discourse and pontificate (knowledgeably, of course) on the current state of affairs in this and other countries. Any person who might devote that quantity of time requisite to composing a response would likely be motivated either by disagreement or by irritation, as it seems unlikely, based on the response my earlier post received despite our residence in a blue stronghold, that the 'others' mentioned so many times already in the last few sentences, and for whom I really must find some other term, disagree uniformly with my expressed opinion of the president, and yet all expressed disdain for the concept of discussing politics here. This brings me, at last, to the idea which is designated officially as the 'point' of this paragraph: If all of those on the left with me maintain silence on this topic, and most on the right do the same, the result would likely be a debate with roughly equal proportions on either side. Pickwick the subject of sports as a discussion is allowed because of a few things. The first is the fact that most "debates" consist entirely of cat calls, simple insults or statements that are fairly short lived and are purely based on opinion with almost no fact to back them up. While politics can over pages about the moral and social - economical positions of a variety of people. The results of such augments tend never to happen since no one is willing to concede to the other side. Number 2 the fact that someone stating their positions on a particular sports team is not going to convince someone that they aren't welcome here because the rivalry between sports team is typically a friendly competition. Politics can make someone feel extremely uncomfortable in a public place when they have no one to associate with. Politics can push people away from tournaments while sports tend to just make people yell. 3rd the fact that sports have some connection (even thou it is very little) with the tournament regrettably. Politics has its own category and should remain unaffiliated with the tournaments. 4th even though this city is primarily democratic I have to point out that several people that post are republicans.

Politics are simply an excuse for rich people to yell at eachother on national television, to try and to convince the less-rich people to give them more money. Then, they take this money, and buy themselves bigger yachts. Which they then use to have press conferences on, which are then followed by parties wherein people get very drunk and push the piano off the side into the harbor. Then, the politicians issue statements, saying it was not <strong>them</strong> that spiked the punch, it was one of their body doubles.
In short, politics is a very very very <strong><em>BAD</em></strong> idea to discuss on any forum affiliated with the tournament. If Eli sets up mulitple forums, like I have requested several times, then it will be fine to discuss politics on a forum SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED for it.
I must warn you, Sir Pickwick the lengthy, that you will find that section of said forums <strong>quite</strong> empty, and it will be quite a waste of your time to post on it, since as you can see, not many people want to discuss politics. There are many perfectly acceptable places to discuss politics, and this should <strong><em>NOT</em></strong> be one of them.

Eli how come you only get half as many points for co-op and team melee. When both people still have to play just as good as single player. You could have a different score for clans.
cuz bad driver it would be doubling the score that u actually get and that could be a lot of points. say u get 1st in co-op u get 800 points for your clan. if the 2 same players got 1st and 2nd in single then u only get 700. its cuz the clans would get too many points so single player is the key.
I would gain 630 points from MarioKart alone which would moveme up substanically.
Also an Idea for MarioKart is to put a Minum finish time since melee the good kill the bad but, in MarioKArt the bad just slow down the good.

I meant that I might be done in a race in 2:00 well somebody els but, finish in 4:00 in melee Pro you might win in 3:00 and it's done. So in MarioKart first place is usally across the finish line in under three minutes but, there are the really slow racers

o so there is an anti snowman and a regular snowman. i thought anti snowman was BCL. hi sith apprentice. eli in the single melee tournament we had 2 matches, took the top 32, then took 1st and 2nd places, and had the top 16, then took the 1st place winner, then had the 4 ppl battle it out. we should've done 1v1 but if that situation happens again, then when u have the 16 players u can take the top 2 from each match instead of 1 just like mario kart. my friend darksoul won all 3 matches and lost by that lucky bomb in the match where u had to get 1st. he got 2nd by a fraction of a second. or we take those 16 players and do march madness 1v1 style!

how do u know you have 780 points? i think it was BCL who said it before but he wanted an acdemic prize round. why doesn't he do academic games? i know there is a team for huron and kaite everett is on it, so is vinayak. there is one for pioneer too and maya spivak was on it i think. so was fernando from the ddr tournaments.

I'm not sure yet, TP2, it may be a Nano, although there is no 'iPod video', it's that the new iPods can play video, so if we go with the 30gb instead of the Nano, it would be a new one, able to play video. I think the Nano is pretty amazing, though....

What you have to realize Tom is that it doesn't matter how many clan points you get during the season. Right now anyone part of a clan that has two or more people that have a thousand points is in the top 4 probably.

o i didnt know that u brought that clan. without joe we'll do ok maybe better cuz flare is a beast at melee and we're having that all night practice session. flare is also not bad at mario kart niether is darksoul but they have to get better. in team melee both of our teams will make the top 4 no doubt about it! besides joe is bringing 5 new ppl and i'm bringing 2 maybe 3.

Eli Duck got 1780 points from the first place sur prize round victory. I know you get points on how well you did but, Con only has 1100 1000 for winning and 100 for getting to the round robin . Duck got like 420 for getting there and like 1320 for winniing. Joe got 1380 for third
That's because Eli said that he would take 1/10th of the score you received in the first part of the surprise round and you score in monkey battle, while bomber man didn't have a definite scoring system you just came in a place.

I got my laptop back so I don't have to play gamecube anymore.
Bad Driver, Doompants was there he just got 0 points. He apparently was in 2 battles of melee. Although I didn't know you could get 0 points unless he forfeited. If he did forfeit and wasn't actually there he shouldn't be worth any points.
Tom people are complaining because, it was possible to win about 2500 points from the surprize round and as we saw people who owned monkeyball won a lot of those points. Those are points that people who didn't own monkeyball didn't have a fair chance to earn.
Eli I think the recruitment bonuses were a bad idea. That is how we got flooded with newbies. We should make next season require pre registration so that only people who care enough to spend five minutes online come. This would also make the registration a lot quicker.
One question. When will registration open at the melee tournament and the round 3 tournament.

Ok Bad driver. Let me point out some things. First the system isn't going to be overhauled for such a minor dispute and it is minor if you compare the points handed out during the surprise round to the points handed out for other events. The surprise round is really only half a standard event. Second Eli will most likely try and standardize the points given out at each tournament but if you noticed they have to sort though a lot of RAW data to try and come up with something that is as close to fair as possible. Since there was no WINNERS at any one station for the last surprise round they punched in the monkey target scores. 3rd if you wanted to dispute Eli taking 1/10th that score and adding it to the players points you should have when Eli Announced it way back when. 4th the surprise points could be determined by a ratio to the number of people that show up at a tournament; to signify that getting first in a highly attended tournament is worth more then winning a less attended tournament.
Of the new people I brought only 2-3 weren't decent at either game. Most of them qualified for at least one event. 1/4th have qualified for the surprise round.

Duck, BD and I have been complaining about the amount of points in the surprize round since it was announced.
BD and I didn't know about the 1/10 thing until a little while ago. It wouldn't be that big of a deal if everyone had level playing ground.
Also Eli wouldn't have that hard of a time changing the data. All he would have to do is get rid of the surprize qualifier and then change the points that 4 people got. That doesn't seem so hard.
I'm looking forward to next week's surprise round game.
Duck 4th could be taken seriously if it wasn't coming from you. (You have a very, very, very large bias.)
I'm sorry I was a little annoyed about other things when I made my last post. Ok I should explain how useless points are. They don't matter at all for individuals because all you have to is qualify once and you're not only in the surprise round for that tournament but for the finals. For clans points account for very little since 8 of 11 make the cut. One after a clan wins a tournament they could skip the rest of the tournaments. Really points only matter for the 4 clans that get in by points. Currently the clans that hold the 4 highest scores and haven't won a tournament are the Trouble Monkey Clan, Turtle Clan, Super Shrooms and The Foreign Exchange. Only the bottom clans have to worry about qualifying. The individual points only matter for bragging rights.

One problem Duck, The namecards are a bit smaller than the size I use.
I had to scale them down to fit the new ones.
I have Adobe Photoshop 6.0 (old version, I think): well ive checked the size. It is about
width: 250 pixels
height: 179 pixels
I havent printed them yet because the lack of color ink, so im not sure of the size.

No I do not drink coffee, but I do occasionally drink caffeinated soda pop. I could see Mrs. Dahl go into a spastic rampage if you were to fall asleep 5 times in 4 weeks. Still taking a small grade hit from one or two days of rest is better then your brain crashing during finals. my friend last year took the SATs at pioneer and he got 1200-1300 not so sure and he was in 7th grade. im not going to be prepared for the next tournament cuz i havent been practicing much! 21 posts in 28 hours thats an improvement. we middle schoolers have a bunch of homework too we have a test in every subject next week and a bunch of assignments due. the party was awsome, 12 player halo 2!

Lucky! I haven't been able to practice for a week and a half; hope I don't have any homework on Thursday, or else all of you will beat me....
This is about the time to start planning for the pre-competition matches that I proposed. I believe that two people had accepted my offer for a duel, but I can't remember which two, and I'm a little busy right now to scan the previous forums(the <em>ONE</em> downside to having filled them with random scribblings!). If those who had agreed to a skirmish would remind me and suggest details for meeting before the competition (so perhaps around 5:30'ish) and information to aid in identification, it would be greatly appreciated. I believe that one was Flare (the original, of course), and the other may have been Sravan...?? Regardless, I plan to be there about as early as possible, and I will probably be wearing either a Red Wings jersey, a different Red Wings jersey, a dark blue and black Hawaiian shirt, or a faded green psuedo-Hawaiian shirt.

It's 13 and up because that's what the game is rated. We fudge it a bit at the GT tournaments, but I couldn't really advertise a tournament for a T rated game for all ages to come to, and we had to draw the line somewhere. However, if you have played in a GT tournament, you can come to the melee-only, I'll let you play.
As for the syntax error, thanks, Duck, we'll fix that.

We have a bottle drive going on. I went to the one during the summer (late because of misinformation) but had no clue we were still going with it. That reminds me that I have the receipts for those.
Pickwick(s) did you count me in the poinsettias. I sold 5 but contacted Linda directly because of lack of info. As for the Candy Bar sales it is possible to raise 3-3.5k so we still have a shot we just need to sell quite a few. I trust we will have at least 2 weeks to sell them. Having time is the biggest factor: with the poinsettias I could have sold 20-30 easily having contacted just a few people but having like 2 nights (when I found out) I rushed my attempts.
If the fund raisers were organized to give plenty of time to allow us to sell stuff. Having all fund raisers start as soon as possible instead of this sporadic mess would be nice for one. Also could we please have the number of required hours be stated? I remember last year having like 45-50 hours and finding out I needed 70 (because I’m not a girl).
P.S. When is the next workshop? I plan on bringing <em>Once Upon a Time</em> to pass the time the mentor isn't there. Trust me this is a game of mine you'll like.

I fully agree with your expressed sentiments regarding fundraising. I have been somewhat out of the loop on that issue, and I do not, as yet, know the time frame in which the candy sale will take place. There is a Board Meeting next week, and it seems likely that it will be determined then. I shall see what I can do.
As for hours, I think we are going to use something akin to the percentage form outlined in the membership guidelines (which I STILL haven't corrected,) but we can certainly publish rough estimates of the requirements for each, based on the totals for last year. That is, in fact, a very good idea.
The next workshop is this Thursday. I forget precisely what it regards, but it may be electrical or programming. I don't suppose this game of yours is anything that you wouldn't be able to play if Mr. Young were watching...? :=)

I have been involved in some of the decision-making process, but not all, especially with regard to fundraising. The job description of my august office is not very detailed, as with the real US Government, and I haven't been making an effort in the last few weeks to keep myself informed on planned fundraisers. That would be in part because I wanted to get as many missing Chem assignments in as I could ere the end of the quarter.

a major problem at the last tournament was that people wanted to use their own controllers. in mario kart when u take a controller out the LAN goes away and we have to restart it again. i dont get what is so special about your controller unless u rigged it to cheat such as when u press A once it does it 5 times. we should let the people use the controllers that are provided so we dont run into any delays like last time. the noise makers made it restart THREE TIMES! NOT TWO THREE!

lol i was playing great termina bay(i hate that place) and i threw a mine on the turtles nose and a jiggly puff actually walked over it lmao. another time was when the turtle goes away there are two bottom platforms and one top one. i was at the right bottom one and a fox hit me off then i do my fire fox but i pushed the control stick too far to the left but then i grab on to the left ledge of the right platform and i was very suprised.

That does sound excessive for sophomore year; that's equivalent to the workload of a junior taking three or more AP classes and involved in the operation of two clubs (myself.) What classes are you taking, at which school(s) are you taking them, and what teachers do you have?

Rest assured, however, that I utilise caffeine only when the completion of homework threatens to take a number of minutes greater than those available until the hour of one in the morning, or on a day after such an early-morning homework spree; so far this year, I have survived five "all-nighters," wherein all of the time normally set aside for sleep is occupied by the implementation of a homework-completion process. Thus, without the aid of a substantial amount of caffeine, Mrs. Dahl would have observed me sleeping through an entire school week of her AP History class(1st hour) so far, and I would not be alive to write this. I do not, of course, imbibe coffee or caffeinated beverages on weekends except in preparation for events such as the PSAT or a library tournament involving video games. Do you drink coffee at all?

I think that Eli should select at most 5 HoFers at the end of each season based on playing skill, contribution to AADL-GT personality, experience and any other important qualities. WW may have nicer controls and visuals, but I have a few problems with it. 1) The boat travel was beyond boring. 2) I know hating on the cartoon graphics is really cliche, and to be honest, they didn't ruin the game, but I liked the general atmosphere of OoT way better. 3) The crappy camera angles in OoT are part of the fun :-) 4) OoT has the 5th best storyline of any game I've ever played and the top 4 are all RPGs. I would suggest 1500 points if not 2000. The system allows about 16-20 people to accumulate 1000 points in one tournament. There are easily 10 people per tournament that get over 1000, it would cause the HOF to be filled up in only a few tournaments. Having a very high quilifacation requirement makes it so only the best can get in.

First off, I want to say that I so just called that system about 2-3 points ago. Second, the senior idea rocks. We should definately do that. The first is the fact that most "debates" consist entirely of cat calls, simple insults or statements that are fairly short lived and are purely based on opinion with almost no fact to back them up. While politics can over pages about the moral and social - economical positions of a variety of people. The results of such augments tend never to happen since no one is willing to concede to the other side. Number 2 the fact that someone stating their positions on a particular sports team is not going to convince someone that they aren't welcome here because the rivalry between sports team is typically a friendly competition. Politics can make someone feel extremely uncomfortable in a public place when they have no one to associate with. Politics can push people away from tournaments while sports tend to just make people yell. 3rd the fact that sports have some connection (even thou it is very little) with the tournament regrettably. Politics has its own category and should remain unaffiliated with the tournaments. 4th even though this city is primarily democratic I have to point out that several people that post are republicans.

Politics are simply an excuse for rich people to yell at eachother on national television, to try and to convince the less-rich people to give them more money. Then, they take this money, and buy themselves bigger yachts. Which they then use to have press conferences on, which are then followed by parties wherein people get very drunk and push the piano off the side into the harbor. Then, the politicians issue statements, saying it was not <strong>them</strong> that spiked the punch, it was one of their body doubles.
In short, politics is a very very very <strong><em>BAD</em></strong> idea to discuss on any forum affiliated with the tournament. If Eli sets up mulitple forums, like I have requested several times, then it will be fine to discuss politics on a forum SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED for it.

o i didnt know that u brought that clan. without joe we'll do ok maybe better cuz flare is a beast at melee and we're having that all night practice session. flare is also not bad at mario kart niether is darksoul but they have to get better. in team melee both of our teams will make the top 4 no doubt about it! besides joe is bringing 5 new ppl and i'm bringing 2 maybe 3.
my predictions for the melee only tournament are me and tp2 in the top 8 then 6 other >18 players. tp2 and I are extremely good at 1v1 march madness and we will definatly get into the top 16 by 4 player FFA. since its 1v1 all those people who resorted to teaming up and camping have no choice but to fight or get KOed.

everyone who played bomber man for the suprise round got 10 points regardless of their score. as duck said eli took 1/10 of your monkey target score and added it to ur personal score. then in the top 4 he took their monkey battle score and added it. since duck got like 4000 in target and 320 in battle he got 1720. would he still be in first place if he didn't get those 720 points thats the real question.

Hi! I'm posting to say I have been brough to the tournament by Ian Melcher (aka Duck, I think). So give him points.

I got my laptop back so I don't have to play gamecube anymore.
Bad Driver, Doompants was there he just got 0 points. He apparently was in 2 battles of melee. Although I didn't know you could get 0 points unless he forfeited. If he did forfeit and wasn't actually there he shouldn't be worth any points.
Tom people are complaining because, it was possible to win about 2500 points from the surprize round and as we saw people who owned monkeyball won a lot of those points. Those are points that people who didn't own monkeyball didn't have a fair chance to earn.
Eli I think the recruitment bonuses were a bad idea. That is how we got flooded with newbies. We should make next season require pre registration so that only people who care enough to spend five minutes online come. This would also make the registration a lot quicker.
One question. When will registration open at the melee tournament and the round 3 tournament.

Ok Bad driver. Let me point out some things. First the system isn't going to be overhauled for such a minor dispute and it is minor if you compare the points handed out during the surprise round to the points handed out for other events. The surprise round is really only half a standard event. Second Eli will most likely try and standardize the points given out at each tournament but if you noticed they have to sort though a lot of RAW data to try and come up with something that is as close to fair as possible. Since there was no WINNERS at any one station for the last surprise round they punched in the monkey target scores. 3rd if you wanted to dispute Eli taking 1/10th that score and adding it to the players points you should have when Eli Announced it way back when. 4th the surprise points could be determined by a ratio to the number of people that show up at a tournament; to signify that getting first in a highly attended tournament is worth more then winning a less attended tournament.
Of the new people I brought only 2-3 weren't decent at either game. Most of them qualified for at least one event. 1/4th have qualified for the surprise round.

Duck, BD and I have been complaining about the amount of points in the surprize round since it was announced.
BD and I didn't know about the 1/10 thing until a little while ago. It wouldn't be that big of a deal if everyone had level playing ground.
Also Eli wouldn't have that hard of a time changing the data. All he would have to do is get rid of the surprize qualifier and then change the points that 4 people got. That doesn't seem so hard.
I'm looking forward to next week's surprise round game.

I'm sorry I was a little annoyed about other things when I made my last post. Ok I should explain how useless points are. They don't matter at all for individuals because all you have to is qualify once and you're not only in the surprise round for that tournament but for the finals. For clans points account for very little since 8 of 11 make the cut. One after a clan wins a tournament they could skip the rest of the tournaments. Really points only matter for the 4 clans that get in by points. Currently the clans that hold the 4 highest scores and haven't won a tournament are the Trouble Monkey Clan, Turtle Clan, Super Shrooms and The Foreign Exchange. Only the bottom clans have to worry about qualifying. The individual points only matter for bragging rights.

This is about the time to start planning for the pre-competition matches that I proposed. I believe that two people had accepted my offer for a duel, but I can't remember which two, and I'm a little busy right now to scan the previous forums(the <em>ONE</em> downside to having filled them with random scribblings!). If those who had agreed to a skirmish would remind me and suggest details for meeting before the competition (so perhaps around 5:30'ish) and information to aid in identification, it would be greatly appreciated. I believe that one was Flare (the original, of course), and the other may have been Sravan...?? Regardless, I plan to be there about as early as possible, and I will probably be wearing either a Red Wings jersey, a different Red Wings jersey, a dark blue and black Hawaiian shirt, or a faded green psuedo-Hawaiian shirt.

We fudge it a bit at the GT tournaments, but I couldn't really advertise a tournament for a T rated game for all ages to come to, and we had to draw the line somewhere. However, if you have played in a GT tournament, you can come to the melee-only, I'll let you play.

This has nothing to do with

We have a bottle drive going on. I went to the one during the summer (late because of misinformation) but had no clue we were still going with it. That reminds me that I have the receipts for those.
Pickwick(s) did you count me in the poinsettias. I sold 5 but contacted Linda directly because of lack of info. As for the Candy Bar sales it is possible to raise 3-3.5k so we still have a shot we just need to sell quite a few. I trust we will have at least 2 weeks to sell them. Having time is the biggest factor: with the poinsettias I could have sold 20-30 easily having contacted just a few people but having like 2 nights (when I found out) I rushed my attempts.
If the fund raisers were organized to give plenty of time to allow us to sell stuff. Having all fund raisers start as soon as possible instead of this sporadic mess would be nice for one. Also could we please have the number of required hours be stated? I remember last year having like 45-50 hours and finding out I needed 70 (because I’m not a girl).
P.S. When is the next workshop? I plan on bringing <em>Once Upon a Time</em> to pass the time the mentor isn't there. Trust me this is a game of mine you'll like.

I fully agree with your expressed sentiments regarding fundraising. I have been somewhat out of the loop on that issue, and I do not, as yet, know the time frame in which the candy sale will take place. There is a Board Meeting next week, and it seems likely that it will be determined then. I shall see what I can do.
As for hours, I think we are going to use something akin to the percentage form outlined in the membership guidelines (which I STILL haven't corrected,) but we can certainly publish rough estimates of the requirements for each, based on the totals for last year. That is, in fact, a very good idea.
The next workshop is this Thursday. I forget precisely what it regards, but it may be electrical or programming. I don't suppose this game of yours is anything that you wouldn't be able to play if Mr. Young were watching...? :=)

I have been involved in some of the decision-making process, but not all, especially with regard to fundraising. The job description of my august office is not very detailed, as with the real US Government, and I haven't been making an effort in the last few weeks to keep myself informed on planned fundraisers. That would be in part because I wanted to get as many missing Chem assignments in as I could ere the end of the quarter.
