AADL-GT is Ann Arbor District Library's Videogame Tournament Series for all ages. Our biggest series is the Super Smash Double Dash Championship Season, which runs August - December and is about to enter its fourth annual season.

In this premiere episode of the AADL-GT podcast, AADL-GT veteran and color commentator 'Major' Tom Coveney talks about some of the changes in the upcoming season and visits with AADL Teen Librarian Elizabeth Schneider and AADL Software Developer Eric Klooster.

Eli I will be leaving my cross country meet around 11:45 ish at the absolute earliest and it is a half hour plus drive which puts me at 12:15 at the earliest. That is the ideal situation. So if you could assume im coming to single melee. till you make the last pool. That would be very great.

Um, if you guys will look closely, that FRIEDjellyWALNUT (or rather FRIEDjeliyWALNUT, note the lowercase "i" in place of the lowercase l), spelled my name wrong.

Doofs, probably John, and also, I usually type with correct grammar, punctuation, and spelling, him (or her) does not.

I'm not resigning from AADL-GT, and I still am looking for a confirmation on the clan situation.

i knew and yeah won 50 at preseason(35 for first in melee and 15 for second in team kart)

I didn't notice the "i", but I did notice that FJW never spells it as form instead of from. All of the posts made by the FJiW used form...

Hey guys, thanks for coming today, it was a great event after it got rolling. We'll keep improving the system for next month. In the meantime, you can get the best look at the leaderboard by selecting GT 2007 or going directly here, but as you can see, it needs some cleanup that ejk and I will do on monday. Thanks again... the season is off to a great start and it's clear that there is going to be some intense competition between the Bros of Maplewood and Us.... stay tuned!

I don't think it was the Roysters, but it doesn't matter. I can't really take this season that seriously with all the standardized tests and all, it's gonna be a busy year for me. Darned Junior year.

The Podcast was very good! Good job to Tom, Eric, Elizabeth, Eli, and anyone else who was involved in the making of it.

It was quite simple in its content though, I would've liked player interviews (although I'm sure that will be coming in later editions of the podcast, always gotta interview the staff first, right Eli?)

Another thing, you should record some of the audio during the tournaments, like the trash talking and stuff, and just randomly add that to the podcasts. I think it's pretty funny to see video game geeks rip on each other in their natural setting, which is in front of a T.V., controller in hand. ;-)

I would prefer that the interview be in the "studio", since it would probably be taxing on the interwebs if we tried to get multiple people over Skype/xfire at the same time. If it's not possible to get into the studio, i can understand that, but I think it'd be better if we had the clans in all at once.
