Ok, we've got some new features in our system, and we're proud to present the first ever Season Clan and Player leaderboards. There may still be a few issues here, of course, so if you've got questions, ask away. Also note that these are the only clans for which I have registration information. If your clan played last weekend, and you're not listed, post a comment or drop an email to axis@aadl.org and we'll get you all set.

First of all, we've got a bit of a surprise on the Clan Leaderboard after 1 round. With 5 Clans competing so far, the Clan Champ of round 1 is....

Total Round 1 score: 4000 points

Skillz dat Killz, made up of 4 wildcards from season 1, storms out of nowhere to rack up the most points out of any clan competing at round 1. They secure their spot in the Clan Cup in december, narrowly edging out second place Turtle Clan (3940 points) and the third place Trouble Monkey Clan (3850 points). Here's the full clan leaderboard:

We'll get recruitment bonuses sorted out over the next few weeks, but we will only credit the clan that the new member says recruited them, so get your recruits online and in here to tell us that you recruited them!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. o well congrads to skillz dat killz clan for getting 1st place. that was soooooo close with a 150 point gap between 1st and 3rd place. with recruiment bonuses the turtle clan will go on top and we will be 2nd. then there is a 2000 point gap between 3rd and 4th which is suprising but yea these are the 4 clans that are going to be in the clan cup based on score. if we would have played out each of the melee events when we had 4 players left and 5 teams left the trouble monkeys would have soooooooooooooooooooo won. that was unfair that u played out the team mario kart event with 4 teams left but u didnt do the melee event. joe we have to have flare in our clan and KICK DEREK OUT. he got 10th place and u got 23rd. joe u better practice up so this wont happen again.

wait a second i just added up me,galen,joe, and rod's score on a calculater and i got 4290??? how come it says 3850 on the leaderboard?

Recruitment bonuses probably. I think they brought in the entire TP2 clan or something <_<.

Sravan Eli had to rework the point scoring system. Oh and with the Turtle clan if you looked at tp2's post in the last blog he said he had antisnowman. So TurtlePerson2 (1680), anti snowman (1305), Bad driver (740) plus JFin2000 (215) = 3940. How did I get 5 points? It wasn't possible to score in the 1's digit since you multiplied everything by ten. Eli, you must have overhauled the scoring system.

Oh and hahahahahahaha Trouble Monkey Clan is only 3rd place.

Reminder Adam, Devin, Connor, Mike, Maria are the new recruits. Leinad and tom the first four are all from the same organiztion.

Sravan the reason our clan got second was because, I triple qualified I also had 2 firsts in single player kart. So did B.D. Anti-Snowman got third which helped us a lot. Padouk was at music camp, but he will be there for the next tournament and we will clean up.

no way duck, did u see my 2nd post, we got 4290. thanks for spelling my name wrong joseph. but even if we did get 4290 and won the tournament the turtle clan will be ahead cuz they got another clan. we only got 4 players who didnt form a clan. there is a problem with this point system as duck said how can some one get a 5 in the units place if everything was multiplied by 10?

noah nick got 385 and i am positive that u,omid, and his sister got more then 215 total. u didnt tell eli who was in ur clan thats y he didnt add it up otherwise u guys would be in 5th place.

oops actually the skillz dat killz did get 4000 my bad but the trouble monkey clan DID GET 4290 POINTS and i added it up 3 times with a calculater and as duck said Jfinn2000 had to have gotten 215 to make that work. duck if u dont belive me about the trouble monkeys add it up urself. on the plus side the noise makers didnt make in the leaderboard.

For some reason I think Eli had some conversion problems. I now remember how you can get 5 points. In team events the points are split between 2 people so you could recieved a 5.

I bet the reason you didn't get that high score of your's is because bbqkitten team up with flare and flare isn't in your team.

but then half of all the teams points should go to rod and half of all points for joe's team should go to joe. y does the individual scores match up with the clan score for skillz dat killz but not the trouble monkeys if it is based on all the players individual points added up?

I was trying to tell you that you didn't recieve all the points of rod's, Because he didn't compete with a clanmate in team Melee.

Yup, Duck is right. If Joe and Rod had been melee partners, you guys would have won. If you want your team points to count for your clan, BOTH team mates have to be playing for your clan. As it was, neither Joe nor Rod's team melee points count for your clan. Sorry! However, I don't think you guys have anything to worry about if you keep posting those kinds of numbers.

Black shark, I have some data for your clan, but I wasn't sure it was right. What 4 players were playing for your clan on saturday? Let me know, and I'll fix it and edit to post to add your score. And the noise maker didn't make the leaderboard because I don't know who their players were. After they let me know, they'll be on the leaderboard.

Also, remember that recruitment bonuses have not yet been applied. That will change things around a bit, but it won't change who wins a round. Recruitment bonuses are applied between rounds and don't count toward a clan's single round points.

Heres what happened, I checked out the cheat codes 4 Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 2. It said there was a way 2 unlock everything from the capsule shop. This idiot wrote a cheat code that didn't work that goes like this(I copyed and pasted it from the website he said this:

Ah, here's the ULTIMATE Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 2 secret. Basically, if you do not wish to go through Dragon World Mode 30 times or to go through the World Tournment over and over to get Zenie to buy Skill Capsules, you can do this. It didn't ****in' work! I have tried it so many times. It would have been great 2 unlock everything quicker, but I guess it really was 2 good 2 be true. I rented this game, so Im not going 2 waste my money for overdueness, **** it. It will take a very long time 2 unlock everything "manually." So once again, **** it! Unless Eli knows something about this game or he could ask someone at PAX about the game, Im sure somebody would. Ask 2 copy their DBZ B2 game file into a memory card, u could take one with u. I dunno? w/e. Eli could have used this game in the tournament 4 the surprise round. It would have been great just copying from my memory card. I guess we cant do this game. I was able 2 unlock every attack in Budokai 1, we can copy from that.

Ok, thanks Black Shark, I've updated the clan leaderboard. Omid also had two registrations, so I've sorted that out.

I can say that it's highly unlikely I would pick a fighting game as a surprise round game. First, we're already playing plenty of melee, and second, the advantage is too great to experienced players. I want to use games that have a short learning curve, with relatively simple controls. In a fighting game, it's all about secret moves and combos... much harder for someone who's never played it to have a chance.

U can give the usual practice time on this game. Come on Eli, this game is really easy and really fun. Come on. Come on. I can teach them. It'll be like "snap!"

Umm I just looked at the clan page for the vaccinated monks and you guys listed Figwig, Supersunflower, and evil bus driver as the primary members. The reality is they were all subs. I am sorry if I gave you the wrong impression. Leinad, Major Tom and another surprise person that hasn't been to a tournament yet are the primaries.

Figwig graduated and is moving 1000 miles away and evil bus driver already has an iPod shuffle so they weren’t meant to be primaries. I guess Eli didn’t put them there you (Eli) should have known I was clan mates with Tom and Dan. But I’m thinking you might have needed to put names there to calculate the clan totals.

Whoops, no worries duck. I messed that up. You were the first clan I entered, and I didn't realize that I was changing the primaries. We'll sort it out next round once Tom and Leinad are in the system.

Duck wasn't there a rule about having at least 2 primaries at a tournament. So if these three weren't primaries then you would have to forfeit all the clan points they earned. If not you would have to keep them.

Of course I don't think that it really matters. It's okay with me if Eli lets you slide.

Monkeys stop complaining our sub probably got as many points as our's and we're not complaining.

BTW we brought 4 people: Anti-Snowman,Snowman,Dark Markth, Uberninja. (We'll have more next tournament.

have u guys ever tried green shells only on very high on final destination its really crazy. just use fox or falco and keep reflecting whenever a computer throws one at u. i just reliazed that there is a cheap thing u can do at corneria and make it really hard for u to die. joe u sure derek is good with the character that he uses and do u really have xbox live? if so whats ur gamertag? joe i know danny wasent our sub but u were still on a team with him and u got 8th so that really hurt our points. eli already knows that rod was a sub. joe we are gonna win next time since we will have derek and there will be less people.

yea but duck will have more for his 3 subs and his 1 new primary member. i just finished watching dodgeball and ben stiller is hillarious. i also found out that skillz dat killz is a team in the dodgeball tournament in the movie. i dont know if they copied them or didnt know that but guys how original. is there even a DBZ tournament at PAX? well i guess we lost cuz of the careless of one of our players but we will get u next time arg(steve the pirate). have fun at PAX tell me who wins the melee tournament. maybe we should do single elimination just like PAX have it 1 on 1 2 stock 3 minutes single elimination with no march madness what so ever.

I brought 6 recruits not including Muffincat.

You know if we do have DBZ it will be a tournament in which black shark doesn't qualify.

hey when I got in the prize round last tourntment eli said that I was in for the december grand one, so then why am I not on the big list of people, Or am I just stipid and have yet to get the system, and yes I'm not a primary in any clan, I have yet to be adopted, but that's probably because I have to work on my skill,

muffincat, the individual leaderboard is just a rundown of the total individual points earned in all events. To qualify for the grand championships you only needed to finish near the top in one event.

If you were in the prize round at the last tournament (playing Bomberman), then you are qualified for the grand championships regardless of how many total points you earned in all the events.

For the tree question it Depends if it's in a vacuum or an atmosphere.

Sravan I'm alright with Sheik but I'm much better with Marth. The sheiks at the competition just play her because her physical abilities are well balanced. They just don't know how to compensate for her low weight so they get killed easily.

sweet...oh yeah and sravan, calculate our score with fly or sly or whoever my melee partner was as our sub. DANNY WAS NOT OUR SUB. I think that should change the scores a lil bit.

derek needs to get better at melee...he has gotten waaaaaaaaay better at kart. hes amazing now. he got 9.482 on a lap in baby park. my gamertag is jsmores. do u have halo 2, ncaa 2005, or counterstrike?
and im not talking about rod as our sub. it was that one guy that was rods friend that i played with in team melee. derek, danny and i saw the 40 year old virgin. that. was. funny. "I hope you got a big trunk. Cuz im puttin my bike in it."

i can wavedash with luigi in training mode with 1/3 speed on lol. my xbox broke but i had halo 2 and i was amazingly good but galen is better then me in melee. JOE !@#$%^&*())(*&^%$#@! DEREK GOT 9.4 SECONDS IN BABY PARK. i bet he used his 2 mushrooms. one thing bad about shiek is her recovery move(up-B)is very short range unlike fox whose is longer. i use fox cuz his is a lot longer then falco's but falco can jump higher. what do u mean by vacuum? joe i have ncaa 2005 but i wasent that good and galen has cs and he is ok at it.

I can wavedash not consistently yet. Anti-Snowman my partner can do it really well. About 90 % of the time. I read about it as well as 10 other techniques the day before the tournament, but I didn't have time to learn most of them.

I can wavedash every once in a while but it won't do me much good in a competition yet. I much better doing it after a long fall then from a standing position.

its really hard to wavedash in a battle. can u guys do it with regular speed? which character do u use?

I can do it normal speed just erratically. I use Marth Mainly but I am alright with Luigi, Zelda/Sheik and Fox. My best wavedashs are with Luigi. I find certain levels are easier to wavedash. Levels with steep slopes are the best for me.

I would really like to know which characters other people use? Since everyone at the last tournament used link, Young link, Roy, Marth, or Sheik I most interested in people that don't use those characters.

i used fox, galen used DR, rod used yoshi, ugo and 2 other ppl used falco, and also joe used fox.

I practiced wave dashing today. I can do it consistently now with Marth. (About two minutes ago I did 3 in a row at full speed during battle.)

Leinad who is your melee partner and who do they play as.

Also I have a theory that kart has really become almost all luck. If you get 8 people together who can pull off mini turbos chances are one person won't win more than 25% of the time.

BTW 9.4 is good, but I have seen someone break 9.

Also how did earnist chicken get first (he got 2nd surprize 800 pts.). He only single qualified. Did he do well in the other competitions and just not qualify.

School starts on Monday. I'm taking Phy Sci Algebra 3,4 AC, and Spanish 3AC. My amount of time on video games might decrease. (Last year I did about half an hour of home work or less).

I can wave dash with decent consistency - I want to say 80-90 % of the time it works. My real problem is that I can only short hop three quarters of the time in training, and almost never in actual battle =(

I can short-hop, but again, I don't use it in battle. The only "advanced technique" I'm trying to incorporaste into my game is teching. The rest just aren't fitting in with how I'm trying to play.

teching? its kinds hard to short hop with falco cuz he jumps higher with fox but its easier to wavedash with a lot of characters then fox because he falls fast. take bowser for example his jump is 9 frames so u have more time to wavedash but fox's jump is only 4 frames. do u guys know how to sheild-grab i never use it but its a useful technique.

haha who ever u are u shouldnt make any assumptions. u havent seen the competition there. are u a newcomer? everyone post ur high scores for melee and mario kart(home run contest break the targets, time trials points in the grand prix etc.). in mario kart i got 154 points for 150cc all cup tour and 150 for mirror mode. i got a perfect score in all other things like flower cup and all cup 50 and 100cc. for melee i got the sheriff trophy so the total number of minutes for all characters in break the targets is 12.5 minutes so its an average of 30 seconds per character but my best is 9 seconds with game and watch. for home run contest i got about 1300-1400 with gannondorf and 1200-1300 with captian falcon but i did it on black shark's memory card :(. my lowest is DK with 534 i think.

Let’s see my best scores. Cruel melee I have 6 maybe 7 Kos with Roy. Home run I have about 1450 with Roy. I usually get about 6-10sec. faster then the computer on 150cc kart races, I think my longest lead was about 20 sec.s on Yoshi circuit. About 2 weeks ago I managed to master the DK mountain half pipe jump with out having to half pipe it.

ok the mtv music awards is basically over but yea GREEN DAY IS THE BEST BAND EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!i can't belive kelley clarkson won 2 awards TWO. those were supposed to be gwen's. i didnt see the best video of the year but i think its green day. the song that green day was nominated for and won was my last lyric quiz boulivard of broken dreams. i walk a lonely road the only road i walk i walk alone....joe i'm still in 8th grade but at least i can boss all the other 7th and 6th graders around. i cant belive u guys are glad school is starting i wish summer was 4ever...joe i'll still transfer at pioneer though. wavedashing is a type of movement which is speacial and really hard to do. has anyone ever gotten the bonus hammer throw?? i need that bonus and then i get the last trophy and beat the game yay. fox pwns all in sudden death and he is so cool when he is metallic. the metel box better not be banned. u guys should do other techniques other then wavedashing. y is the bomb-omb banned its a skill to catch it and to reflect it if ur character doesnt have a reflector then too bad. i think the 2 best characters on a team would be falco and marth or fox and marth. ppl shouldnt under estimate peach she is actually better then marth she has a counter a projectile which marth doesnt have she has a strong fast attack as one of her special moves and marth has to charge his up and she can float and falls the slowest. marth's weakness is no projectiles so in a 1v1 match if he is facing link i'd put my bets on link.

i go to ann arbor open and marth is not inferior to peach the players might be different but marth could easily defeat defeat peach because 1. hes stronger and faster than her
2. peach doesnt have as many finishing moves as marth
3. peach is een more short-lived than marth
4. peach is an open target while floting
5. marth has a cape and capes are awesome
6. there is no 6
7. dancing blade is equiped with the abilty to cope with many diferent situations
8. marth has a sword and swords are shiny

i could buy a new keyboard but i spent all my money on video games and pictures of shiny swords that i lose oh and i dont have a clan but i i could easily make 1 myself

im sorry but i belive marths counter to be faster and it's better for combos and projectile attacks can be counterd or blocked or dodged or caught easily so 34 damage doesnt matter if it doesnt hit and her projectile takes time to pull out of the ground leaving her wide open

i tried wavedashing today and i found out thats its not that useful unless u use luigi. luigi can wavedash really long so its useful but marth cant do it as long maybe about half the distance but its still good to know that u acn do it with him.

marth is inferior to peach. her counter is faster the marth's counter and she has a projectile with a maximum damage of 34%. she can get back up easily with her float ability and parosal. her down smash is my favorite in the entire game in lightning melee its so fast. the best character to fight marth would either be peach,fox, or falcon. if u use falcon then u have to use ur up-B a lot because he can't counter that. oops i forgot falco to the list.

I use to use C. Falcon but got tried of his recovery and weight so I swiched to Marth. I also play other characters for fun as listed above, but unless I improve someone up to par I will stick with Marth.

wow i just played a battle with me peach falco and dr.mario every1 had 1 lifeleft execpt dr. who had 2 peach was flying to her death i picked up a bomb-omb and threw it at falco who had just ko'd dr. thewn he used falco phantasm and the bomb exploded in my face too so we both died at the same time as peach so every1 came in second i posted this cause i didnt have anything to do so ya

electric knee isnt a meteor attack his uber kick attack is his meteor you know the same 1 that gannonorf has only non-electrict and air dodge leaves you wide open and i should probley use some 1 like boswer to destroy them all that would be hilarious

lol. i just found out that now they are selling the GCN for $100 with melee. didnt they have mkdd before? this is a really good deal probably one of the best 5 games on gamecube included with the GCN. anyway the revolution doesnt look like much except for its online play and ssbm2. im gonna go to bed have a good 2nd day everyone.

whats ur record for jigglypuff live event match #39? mine is 43.90 seconds. theres a really big trick to beating that one u dont have to do cold hard fighting. one redshell hit kills them lmao.

no you should be worried about gannon cause my friend used to fight me as fox all the time his down smash or his up b or his a attack are all really good agaist fox and hes two times as good as me using marth and falco is his worst caracter of those three

its easy with fox,falco,yoshi, and jigglypuff. i beat it with dr.mario once. sometimes i use roy and just have fun countering everyone even though i'll lose. so flare how many people do u have in ur clan?

So far, this whole page has had basically 3 people posting, me, sravan, and flare. Plus that one post from duck, but that's it. Sravan, Flare, I guess were the only ones who don't have homework problems and can find the time 2 post everyday. But I'm sure that more people will post on weekends.

Sravan, the new leaderboard will have all the people's individual performances(The new leaderboard will post everybodys performance on MKDD and SSBM and 2 some people 4 the surprise round). And plus, I think this new leaderboard will show clan scores plus the bonus points 2 see who really has the most points.

Sravan, about the xbox 360 thing. The PS3 is <strong>supposed</strong> to be more powerful and can pump out more pixels than the xbox 360, it won't neccecarily be better since it all depends on the games. Also since the PS3's graphics are so good it is possible that if you want to play it to its full capacity, you might have to have HDTV. Because of that it might not do so well in its sales since most people do not have HDTV.

if u get the xbox 360 for $400 then u get an HD cable that makes it HD. yea it pumps like 56bliiion and xbox does 33.9billion. the xbox 360's graphics are better and it has more space so u can store more games. both are backwards compatible so u can play GTA and halo2. but i mainly want the 360 cuz of halo3.

Huh? You said that the PS3 can pump out more pixels thus you're saying it has better graphics. Then you say the xbox has better graphics. Anyway the PS3 is 100% backwards compatable like its PS2 predacessor, at least I think it is. I'm not sure about space but yeah, im pretty sure the xbox 360 can stor more. The xbox360 isn't 100% backwards compatable. From what I heard the Xbox360 can only play the "good" games as defined by Microsoft such as Halo2 on the xbox360.

What do you mean by HDTV cable? Don't you have to get a new TV for HDTV? Also not many are going to spend $400, they're probably gonna go for the $300. And if what you said is true about the xbox360's graphics being better than the PS3's then HDTV will be almost a necessity since to play the PS3 at full capacity you need HDTV and if the xbox360's graphics are better, without HDTV will be like crap capacity.

galen the ps3 has 56 billion something not nessarily pixels i might have read the article wrong. if it can only play the good games then microsoft needs to secify the games that it can play and so far they havent dont that other then halo2. lmao galen the 399 deal includes a wireless controller, an e-net cord for live, a faceplate where u can choose the color of ur xbox 360, a headset for xbox live, the HD cable, and the 20 gigabyte detachable hard drivewhich is worth 99 seperatly and it has the consule. the 299 one has the consule a wired controller and a regular cable connecting to the tv. galen if u look in my AIM profile there is a link that takes u to a site where they compare the specs of both consules. the ps3's controller is screwed up anyway its so long. anyway i'm starting school tommarow so i gotta sleep early. we can all agree the rev is gonna SUCK.

Sravan, I've said it before, when you make these kinds of arguments, the only thing you're doing is working for the marketers. If you think they have the slightest clue which system is going to have the best games, or that they even care, you might as well just call Microsoft and Sony and ask them which console you should buy. You are just repeating their spiel, meaningless and misleading numbers that don't tell you anything about how good the games are going to be, how easy the system will be to develop for, or how quickly the installed base is going to grow. That's what's going to determine how successful a console will be, not polygons, or fill rate, or memory bandwidth, or storage capacity.

And I don't agree that the Revolution is going to suck, especially since nobody yet knows anything substantial about it. Plus, when Super Smash Brothers Revolution comes out, Sravan, are you telling me you won't want it?

The $300 xbox360 will still cost you $400. It doesn't come with a memory card($40) or game ($50) but it comes with a standard AV cable the $400 360 comes with a HD-AV cable which if you don't have a HD TV or really new TV won't work and that 20 Gigabyte hard drive shouldn't be more then $30, $100 is flat extortion. The PS3 will also do HD output but looks to be $500 the lowest I saw was $465.

Apples to Apples on Graphics?
The Xbox 360's ATI graphics core also throws a wrench into our graphics comparison since it uses a new-fangled Unified Shader Architecture that mixes up pixel- and vertex-pipelines and makes comparison to older video card technology very difficult. The Xbox 360 graphics core may have 48-pipelines, but we don't know how powerful they are compared to dedicated pixel and vertex pipelines.

The PlayStation 3 has a pretty strong Nvidia graphics processor, but you can see how Sony may be afraid of the specification sheet comparison by the pipeline number conveniently omitted from the PS3 graphics specifications. We're guessing that the RSX graphics processors has a traditional, non-unified shader engine, so it likely has a smaller total "pipeline" number than the ATI chip. Even if the RSX's normal pipelines are more powerful than the Xbox 360's pipes, Sony doesn't want to risk printing a lower "pipeline" number since people won't understand that it isn't an apples-to-apples comparison.

So how many traditional pipelines does the RSX have? Sony has revealed that the RSX GPU has a 550MHz core clock and has over 300 million transistors. Sony has also stated that the chip is more powerful than two GeForce 6800 Ultra cards put together. Your first guess might be that Nvidia simply doubled the pipeline number on the 6800 Ultra to make the RSX, but you also have to remember that the Ultra only clocked in at 400MHz. If the "double" performance measurement is based on fill-rate performance rather than hardware, the clock speed increase up to 550MHz is clear sign that the hardware improvement isn't from a pure doubling of pipelines. We're guessing that the actual pipeline count is going to be at 24, which is about right for 300 million transistors and, at 550MHz, has just a slightly larger fill-rate than two GeForce 6800 Ultras clocked at 400MHz. Since the GeForce Ultra had 6 vertex pipelines, the RSX likely has 6 more vertex pipes in addition to the 24 pixel pipelines.

i cant post the specs cuz it pastes it in a really weird format cuz it has a picture and i dont want to change the format or type the specs manually. galen was right the xbox 360 is backwards compatible but it says limited on it so yea. even without the HD cable its still a good deal cuz u get all that other stuff.

Specs that only a 2% of the people understand don't mean a thing if the people clap for a tomb raider game. Software makes a system live not hardware. The xbox will only have 1080i while the Ps3 has 1080i and 1080p. So the PS3 should give you a smoother Image.

Dude, "this whole page" is less than two days long. That's because you three post 20 times a day and I have 30 new posts to read every single day I log on, and about 1-2 of them are relevant. Please keep all of the irrelevant posts off of here and if you have two different things to say, think ahead and put it all in one post. I come here every day and onoy post when I have something important to say. There's not exactly much opportunity for the rest of us to post with you guys generating 30 posts per day.
