Basic computer skills are required. The class is available at no cost. Registration is not required. The class will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis and will open 15 minutes before the class start time. The computer class schedule is available here.

The most important characteristics for a UM job seeker are perseverance and patience!!!!!

I applied for 77 jobs over 90 a 90 day period, had 6 call backs, 3 face-to-face interviews and was offered a job in April (a few years ago) but did not start until JULY. Don't give up!!

It's usually a complicated process trying to get a job at U of M. Getting some tips on how to apply will be most helpful.

What a great program! With so few jobs around and it being difficult to find them a program like this is wonderful! Luckily though I already have an amazing job so I won't be attending. Just glad we have libraries that help their patrons in this crazy economy!!

What a great opportunity to hear how to get there from an insider. Although, she'll probably have to mention that they're cutting jobs, not adding on new people.
