by DaudiExperience

After six long years of anticipation George R.R. Martin continues his epic Song of Ice and Fire saga with the fifth book in the series titled A Dance with Dragons. Coming three weeks after the season one finale of the critically acclaimed HBO drama Game of Thrones which brought the authors first book in the series to television, George R.R. Martin keeps his ever growing fan base excited and hooked with this next installment to the epic series.

Only seventeen pages into the nine hundred plus page tome it is clear that the author has done it again providing his eager and impatient fans another epic to the series. We can only hope that now with the success of the HBO drama the author will take a greater effort to finish the series in a timely manner to keep the show alive and bring closure to this epic saga.

The first four books in George R.R. Martin's Song of Ice and Fire saga in order are Game of Thrones, A Clash of Kings, A Storm of Swordsand A Feast for Crows.

My copy is waiting on my porch for me when I get home from work.... cannot WAIT to dive in! Everyone should read this series!

DaudiExperience, I'm giving you ONE WEEK to read all 959 pages of this book and pass it on to me. If you don't make that deadline, you'll have to change your name to PainExperience. :-P

I just had a marathon viewing of the entire season of Game of Thrones. I will definitely be trying to get into this series now.

cool

Game of Thrones looks like a TV series to watch and if the books are as good... then I'll have to read them!

It's nice not having to wait on the release of this book, seeing as how I'm just starting to read the first one in the series. It must have been a long wait for Martin fans!

I had not heard of this book series or the HBO series. I'll look into these. But six years between books - wow, those are some dedicated fans to wait that long!

Something else I'll have to check out! Have you seen the HBO series? I've heard great things, though I'd like to start with the book. And 6 years between releases?! That's nuts!

I have seen the HBO series it is amazing! Start with the books the first season of the series covers the first book and pretty much follows it perfectly. The next season is coming out next year so you have some time to get through the series too. I haven't had anyone who I have recommended the books too come back disappointed.

cool

I've been looking forward to this book for so long that I've forgotten what else has happened in the series. I'm going to wait until it is out in paperback so that I have some time to catch up!
