My daughter (2) and I went to the preschool storytime at the Pittsfield branch last night and it was wonderful. There was a woman playing songs on a banjo, we listened to 3 stories, some of which were narrated with props, the kids got up and did some movement and dancing and there was a craft activity at the end. All the stories, songs and activities were on the same theme (beach). We will definitely come back to future storytimes! Thank you for having children's activities like these in the evenings and on the weekends for us working parents.
adimarzo - I'm so glad you and your daughter enjoy storytime. We do our best to offer a range of story programming for various age groups at different times during the day. The evening and weekend programs are scheduled so that busy parents will have the opportunity to participate in the programs with their children. We host storytime at most of our branches, and each of our many storytellers work hard to create programs which will be fun and entertaining for all. We look forward to seeing you and your family at future programs!
