AADL Talks To Andrew F. Smith
by amy
When he last spoke at the Library, we had the privilege of chatting with culinary historian Andrew F. Smith, prolific author of the recent book Starving the South: How the North Won the Civil War and editor of the Edible Series. In this conversation, Andrew takes a witty and engaging view on a variety of topics, from recent culinary trends and the poor reputation of the potato to his fascination with the American Civil War. You can listen to or download the interview below, or watch the video of his talk at the Library on March 27, 2011, which was cosponsored by the Culinary Historians of Ann Arbor.
