Cheesemaking for All

by Enzy

If you are anything like me, you are intrigued by the idea of making your own cheeses. However, to someone who is new to this experience it can seem like a daunting task. There are special tools, ingredients, and recipes which all contribute to the feeling that you are performing a grand science experiment instead of creating a tasty treat. However, thanks to the surge of material made available to those interested in environmentally friendly living, making your own cheese has now become an obtainable goal.

The library has plenty of resources if you are a first time, or even a seasoned cheesemaker. There are books that cover the basics and books that provide more details than you would ever want to know. And after you have successfully made your first edible cheese, you can sit down with a plate of it and watch a Benedictine nun traverse the French countryside learning about cheese. Really, when it comes to cheese, the possibilities are endless.
