Shiloh Maples, SNAP-Ed and BALAC Grant Program Coordinator for American Indian Health & Family Services of Southeast Michigan, MSW, and member of the Little River Band of Ottawa Indians discusses Native American traditional foods and relationship to ancestral homelands -- these are essential to the overall well being of Native American communities.

Come learn about the historical challenges to maintaining indigenous food sovereignty and its impact on Native health, and the emerging movement to preserve and revitalize traditional food ways.

This program is offered in partnership with the Culinary Historians of Ann Arbor.
