2017 Midlands / Northern Conference: Every Child Ready to Read Braille and Large Print Edition Presented by Carrie Scott Banks

On June 6-8, 2017, the Washtenaw Library for the Blind and Physically Disabled hosted the 2017 Midlands/Northern Conference, hosting representatives from Libraries for the Blind and Physically Handicapped in Ann Arbor. The conference focused on the future direction of library services for the blind & physically disabled and preparation for the changes ahead.

Carrie Scott Banks, Supervising Librarian of Inclusive Services at the Brooklyn Public Library & ASCLA Board of Directors,presents this talk on help children who are blind and with low vision get ready for school, options for early learners including braille and large print, and providing information to parents.
