His voice drags against her skin, each word puncturing every pore. Like tiny needles I watch each syllable stab, creating
twisted abrasions. I watch her existence bleed away,

I can only watch.

Her skin is like snow, melting into my embrace as we coalesce into one. We are
shielded in the shadows long enough to say

goodbye.

When He comes his voice is broken, made of glass shards.

His voice bleeds her name:

Sophia, Sophia, Sophia...

His hands with fingers that have too many edges and not enough curves, they grow around her heart. Engulfed in obscurity, she fades from my eyes.

Her last breath hangs in the air like a diamond, sharp as a sword. It gleams, it begs me.

Nothing, nothing. Without her, I am nothing.

Grasping her breath, I let the sharp edge rest at the entrance of my heart.

Go. Go!

Rupturing my chest, I let it puncture every vein. Like tiny needles each crystal stabs,
creating twisted abrasions, destroying my rotting heart.

Tears plod down my cheeks and my heart is so empty but the tears, they are flooding;
they are shaking.

They are filled with the bones of

our love
