Kid Bits -"I" is for Inuit
by ryanikoglu
The "Letter Box" featured "I" this week .... "I" is for Inupiaq ... and "I" is for Inuksuk ... and "I" is for igloo too.
Ms. Rachel told "A Whale of a Tale" in Preschool Storytime this week when there was not a bit of blubber left in the igloo for the little boy to eat. It is an ageless tall tale from Inupiaq tradition. Other titles that may be of interest would be:
Kumak's Fish and Kumak's House by Michael Bania.
Make Your Own Inuksuk "silent messengers" on the tundra.
Polar Lands.
Over In The Arctic: Where The Cold Winds Blow by Marianne Berkes.
