Check out the Arab American National Museum

Among recent family field trips was a visit to the Arab American National Museum. Such a lot to learn! If you go, check out the Museum Adventure Pass and save yourself the cost of admission, or like me, forget to check out a pass but end up feeling fine about paid admission. Among cool stuff to see is a portable typewriter donated by veteran reporter Helen Thomas who visited Ann Arbor recently. To listen to a library podcast with Ms. Thomas, click here.

Hear, hear! The AANM is the only museum of its kind in the nation, so we're lucky to have it so close by. I was lucky enough to get to do a report on the museum for a class last semester, and let me tell you the staff are all wonderful, motivated people. The museum also has its own library, which is open to the public.
