Read Beyond Reality @ your library®! October 18-24. Check out materials to change your world, take yourself somewhere unlike your world, or just read for the fun of it! In support of Teen Read Week, readergirlz hosts author chats with many Teens’ Top Ten Nominees for 2009. Teens are also visiting the YALSA website to vote for their favorite books from a list of the nominees. Cool program choices at AADL this week are, the Tonks and the Aurors concert on Tuesday, the 20th, downtown; Find Funding for a College Education on Wednesday, the 21st at Pittsfield; Duct Tape Redux on Thursday, the 22nd at Pittsfield; Nigerian Gele Head Wrapping Workshop, Saturday, the 24th at Traverwood; and finally Jim Ottaviani, author of 'T-Minus: The Race to the Moon will be talking about his graphic novel - there will be books on sale for the signing.
