We have world cultures right now. The books are really neat. The movie wouldn't have been my first choice and we wont be watching it but the books are worth it :)

Finding DVDs for young children on a combination of World Cultures was difficult. If you have suggestions, please make them. It helps us discover better options. Thank You for your comments. It tells us they are being used.

I've been sharing storytime over Skype with my grandson, these collections may be just the thing to give us fresh topics!
I'd like something on reading readiness- I saw the math package.
Is there one you would suggest?
Maybe sequencing?

cool

To Judeyblu:
You are doing reading readiness by reading books to him over Skype !!
You are showing him he is loved and valued, just as books are loved and valued.

Reading readiness for young children IS people reading to children, early-on, and often.
This is based on decades of research.
Together, you are enjoying stories and information through books.
He is learning that printed words and pictures bring information; turning-pages brings more; and this IS "reading".
With love of someone reading to him, and with him, ... He'll be easily able to pick-up reading as it is formally introduced.
AND keep on reading to him after he is reading ... as long as he enjoys it.
It's great bonding time, value-sharing time; as well as increases literacy.
Congratulations. You are on the way already.
