Description

True creativity comes from the mastery of core skills combined with original thought! Join Young Rembrandts teachers on Saturdays in September and October for directed drawing that gives young students instruction on how to break down complex images into simple ones. Students will explore many different techniques and art tools (colored pencil, pastel, and marker) while learning the drawing skills that lay the foundation for all visual arts. Illustration, design, fine art composition, and cartooning will be covered.

In this class, we'll learn to use the teaching tools involved in graphic design as an important part of any visual expression. There are important concepts in understanding composition, from symmetry, to size, scale, and dimension and how they all relate to mastering a stylized drawing. How do we use color to create a bold, vibrant work of art and how can it be used divide space, shape and form? Come experience our methodology as we find ways to communicate ideas and concepts through graphic design as a drawing skill with lifetime benefits!
