Remembering Ramon Hernandez, 1936-2014

The Ann Arbor District Library Board and staff acknowledge with sadness the passing of former Library Director Ramon Hernandez. Ramon served as Director of the Ann Arbor Public Library from 1983 to 1994.
During his tenure, he initiated seven-day per week openings at the branch libraries, directed the expansion and renovation of the Downtown Library and introduced AADL’s first online catalog.
We deeply regret his passing and offer our sincere condolences to his family. We admire and appreciate his hard work and many years of dedication and service to the Ann Arbor community.
