Sunday August 10, 2014: 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm -- Downtown Library: 4th Floor Meeting Room

This event is intended for grades 3-5

Work with a team to come up with an invention idea, design a product, and then manufacture multiple copies!

This event is presented in partnership with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Southeast Michigan Section.

This event was originally scheduled for the Downtown Library Multi-Purpose Room and has been relocated to the 4th floor of the Downtown Library.

*Please note: this workshop was originally slated to include activities with conductive paint, but will not in fact be using that particular material.

Haven't been to it before but

Haven't been to it before but from the description you build something then you make multiple copies, with a team

@smitanikhil - This event

@smitanikhil - This event will encourage folks to form a team (could be a family team/could be a few friends) to come up with a "prototype" invention using simple materials (paper, pipe cleaners, brads), and then think about how to best make multiple copies of this invention. Group member might choose to have each person handle one part of the assembly, and/or they might decide to adjust their initial design to make it easier to make multiples.
