EARLY CHILDHOOD EXPERT: Peter Gray (pictured above), nationally-known author and childhood expert from Boston College, will visit the Downtown Library on Saturday March 8 at 2 pm to discuss children, free play, and his book Free to Learn: Why Unleashing the Instinct to Play Will Make Our Children Happier, More Self-Reliant, and Better Students for Life.
CRAFTS: Adults and teens can make cute, colorful animals out of ribbons on Saturday, March 8 at 2 pm at the Malletts Creek Branch and create abstract water color paintings on Sunday March 9 at 2 pm at the Pittsfield Branch. Also on Sunday March 9, Kids can enjoy the story and craft event at the Malletts Creek Branch at 2 pm featuring Splat The Cat and Grumpy Bird or can make uplifting cards for pediatric patients at 3 pm at the Downtown Library.
INFANT MUSIC AND MOVEMENT: Melissa Hudson is the leader of the Saturday, March 8 session of Dancing Babies at 10 am at Pittsfield Branch.
COMPUTER PROGRAMMING WORKSHOP: Learn how to create a character using computer animation at the adult/teen hands-on workshop at the Downtown Library on Saturday, March 8 at 3 pm.

MUSIC LECTURE: Eric Burdon of the Animals has been hailed by Rolling Stone as one of the 100 Greatest Voices of All Time and local music expert Jim Leonard will cover his music and career on Monday March 10 at 7 pm at the Downtown Library.
THE AFFORDABLE CARE ACT: Learn how insurance coverage options at the local level will change and what your options are on Tuesday March 11 at 7 pm at the Malletts Creek Branch.
