Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti Reads Book Discussion: Between Shades Of Gray

Tuesday February 4, 2014: 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm -- Pittsfield Branch: Program Room

This event is intended for adults and teens (grade 6 and up)

AADL staff lead a discussion of Between Shades of Gray by Ruta Sepetys, the book selected for AA/Y Reads 2014.

This 2011 international bestseller and winner of national and international awards is based on survivor stories of the genocide of Baltic people. It is the story of 15-year-old Lina, a Lithuanian teen living an ordinary life until Soviet officers invade her home and send her family to Siberian work camps, where they are forced to fight for their lives.

Copies of the book are available at the Ann Arbor District Library, the Ypsilanti District Library and area bookstores. For more information on Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti Reads, visit the Reads website.
