Sherman Hemsley, a.k.a. George Jefferson, has died

Sherman Hemsley, whose most famous role was playing George Jefferson, patriarch of the popular 1970s sitcom, The Jeffersons, died today.
Hemsley and the late Isabel Sanford were originally cast in 1973 as supporting actors in All in the Family. Less than two years later they starred in the spinoff The Jeffersons, which enjoyed an 11-season run.
Hemsley, who was 74, died at his home in El Paso, Texas.

I used to watch his show often when I was growing up. He will be missed.

One of my favorite episodes
One of my favorite episodes of Lois and Clark was a Christmas one where he played the villain (who of course was reformed by the end of the episode, it being Christmas and all). Sad :(
