The eagerly anticipated HBO adaptation, based on Alexander McCall Smith's international bestseller mystery series, The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency chronicles the adventures of Precious Ramotswe (played by Grammy winner Jill Scott) , the proprietor of the only female-owned detective agency in Botswana. Aided by her highly-efficient secretary Mma Makutsi (Anika Noni Rose of Dreamgirls), Mma Ramotswe investigates cases and helps people solve problems in their lives.
The special 2–hour series premiere on Sunday, March 29 and will be followed by six additional weekly episodes.
And now - perhaps the most highly anticipated movie of the season as well as a critically acclaimed TV series based on the talented team of Alan Moore's (writer) and Dave Gibbons’s (illustrator) groundbreaking graphic novel, Watchmen, is set in an alternate 1985 America in which costumed superheroes are part of the fabric of everyday society.
When one of his former colleagues is murdered, the washed-up but no less determined masked vigilante Rorschach sets out to uncover a plot to kill and discredit all past and present superheroes. As he reconnects with his former crime-fighting legion - a ragtag group of retired superheroes, Rorschach glimpses a wide-ranging and disturbing conspiracy with links to their shared past and catastrophic consequences for the future.
