Master Pieces and International Grand Masters

The DIA has a fabulous exhibition, Master Pieces: Chess Sets from the Dr. George and Vivian Dean Collection. There are more than two dozen sets ranging from the 16th to the 20th centuries. The chess set represent exquisite examples from Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and the U.S. You can see the exhibition through May 17.
Also at the DIA last Friday was Ann Arbor’s International Grand Master Ben Finegold who took on fifty opponents in an evening simul. Finegold recently won three state championship events in one weekend!
