Make It Right in New Orleans

The January issue of Architectural Digest has an article about Brad Pitt and his Make It Right Foundation's work in the Lower Ninth Ward of New Orleans. Photos show finished homes that are designed to fit long and narrow lots, and feature pillars (to survive future flooding), rooftop escape hatches, and solar panels. The photos also reveal just how much more work remains to be done in order for this neighborhood to fully recover from the devastating impact of Hurricane Katrina in 2005.
