What if...

by RiponGood

the United States no longer existed. The country has fallen apart. It is primarily composed of two countries, one Islamic-based and the other Bible Belt Christians. What happened? In 2017, Massad agents detonated atomic bombs in several cities in the United States and also at Mecca. The result? Many people in the northern states converted to Islam and the country became divided. When young Islamic historian tries to find the true bombers, her lover must protect her and the truth. This is the world of Robert Ferrigno in Prayers for the Assassin and Sins of the Assassin.

It is always interesting to read books in which the United States has been divided differently than it is right now. I am thinking of novels like The Man in the High Castle by Philip K. Dick, in which the U.S.A. and allies lost World War II, and the U.S. is divided into a Japanese state, a German state, and the Confederate states.
