Videogame Tournaments at Your Library: December Events!
aadlman: If Ann Arbor was a Megaman game, one of the bosses would be AADLMAN.
It's December in Ann Arbor. You know what that means... a fresh infusion of salty brown slush. That, plus AADL-GT's 5th Annual Grand Championship Tournament Weekend! The action gets going Friday Night, 12/19 at 6 PM with our final Revolution Hero Tournament for All Ages featuring Dance Dance Revolution and Guitar Hero tournaments for players of all skill levels. Then, at High Noon on Saturday 12/20, the 2008 SmashKart Wildcard Tournament and Grand Championships bring together players in grades 6 - 12 for Ann Arbor's hottest gaming event, with a Wii, iPod, and DS up for grabs to the Grand Champions! We wrap up the season with Public Library Pokémon League on Sunday 12/21 from 1-5 PM, and then finally the 2nd Annual GT Awards, Clan Cup Finals, and Grudge Buffet featuring the finest comestibles that Salsarita's has to offer, on Monday, 12/22 at 6 PM. All events at the Downtown Library in the lower level Multipurpose Room. Food and prizes at all events!
So, what does this have to do with Megaman? Not much, I guess, but Megaman is awesome and I wanted to make a Megaman commercial, so here it is! This spot shows on Bravo, Comedy Central, Discovery Channel, Cartoon Network, and MTV. It features this track by the inimitable Minibosses and this video by art student Nicolas Ménard of Montreal. lol unlike mkdd i can actually play MKwii, not that its hard to get good at it XD
I noticed that mkwii is a more beginner friendly game than mkdd, and brawl is a more beginner friendly game than melee. if the tourneys change to mkwii, then it would be easy for ppl to actually have a chance of winning

that's what makes aadl, aadl...and switching to brawl didn't make that much of a difference of who wins. so it might be the same with mario kart...and mario kart was already like 30% luck...cause of the item differences between 1st and 8th place...
and it's good for more people to win because then there would be more competition for everybody

well dd's item distribution was kind of wack as it is. it got alot more imba in the four player races, where second place would get stars etc. mk wii is even worse. there are now 12 places and you can still get stars in fourth, ALONG WITH MASTER SHELLS!? thats crazy, but it is pretty fun and some new mechanics make for interesting adv tactics
I agree, mkwii is as fun to play as dd, if not better, but the skill level is way off, and the item level is off too, but if the tournaments switch, there's gonna be some haters.

Hey, remember that there are no team events at the grands! It's single-player only! However, if there are at least two members of your clan present at the Clan Cup at the Grudge Buffet on 12/22, you can fill out your roster with subs, even if they've aged out. However, remember that the players who play at the clan cup are the ones who get the prizes!
