Arthur Christian Reiff poses at his bench with his tools, many of them custom made. Reiff's Custom Furniture was located in Dixboro on Plymouth Road in the mid 1900s. The talkative German built several pieces from customer-supplied photographs and fashioned no fewer than three full-size pipe organ cabinets. His wife, Hertha (Hattie), operated a kennel and caned chairs next door. Art Reiff passed away in 1984.
