The history of 20th century Ann Arbor would not be complete without referring to the life of a highly respected, towering local attorney and nationally recognized Kiwanian, Ralph C. Keyes. There were no sharper minds or courtroom performances to match Keyes in his prime. He was known to tackle the toughest cases to defend. In Kiwanis, he rose through local and state offices and became the President of the Kiwanis International Foundation, 1981-83. Keyes was a long-time member of the Kiwanis Club of Ann Arbor.
