The Magic Rug , Page 1 
Hi my name is Alison I have red hair and blue berry colored eyes. My favorite color is blue and I live at 6342 Pine Street, near the local zoo. I love animals! in all sorts and sizes but my best friend Suzy hates animals! Suzy has black hair and her eyes are as brown as a tiny cute light brown cat. Her favorite colors are pink, hot pink and purple and I think you got the point. I wish she would just let it go and love animals. But I am not her and I can 't just say she just has to love animals. She thinks animals are fuzzy, gross little things! All I know is someday i hope that she will learn to love animals. 
Today is Sunday, a no school day, and Suzy said she will meet me at the park. I live in New York and my apartment is near the park. Whe n I got to the park, Suzy was no where to be found! I looked everywhere but I couldn 't find her! Then in a few seconds she came with a frown on her face. I looked at her and asked what was wrong. She looked at me with teary but mad eyes. "What's wrong WHATS WRONG!" she said "EVERYTHING!" At first I didn't get it but then I knew. "Did your mom get a pet?" I asked. "Yes." Suzy said in a very, very soft voice so I almost cou ldn 't hear her. "I'm sorry," I said to my friend. 
Later that night, when it got dark we went to bed and slept. "YAWN!" said Alison as she woke up. "Mom, Dad!" said Alison "Can I go to the zoo with Suzy?" "Yes dear, " said her mom. Then Alison went to the zoo , and Suzy was already there. They looked around . Suzy did not like it at all. First, they saw a monkey with a hat and a rug. Then in a few seco nds they were in the cage. "Wow! That is an awesome monkey!" cooed Alison . "Yea right! " shouted Suzy. Ju st then they hopped on the rug for a closer look. Well only Alison jumped on. "Come on Suzy, come closer please" Alison begged . Suzy replied , "Fine! But, only because you want me too. " Then they thought they saw the rug fly off the gro und, and they did. "Wow! but, but how?" asked Alison . "I don't know" answered

Suzy. They flew and flew and flew. The monkey flew the rug and then showed Suzy animal life. "Ouuuu!! that is a baby tiger?" asked Suzy. "I didn 't know they where so cute!" "oh oh ah ah!" said the monkey and showed her a tiny bunny. "Ouuuu!" Suzy said again . Then the rug stopped and Alison , Suzy, and the monkey fell. "AAAAAHH!" 
Alison woke up and soon realized, "Phew," it was just a dream .
