Join us for stories and songs for listeners age 2 to 5 years, accompanied by an adult.

Baby Playgroups

Friday January 19, 2018: 10:30 am to 11:30 am -- Traverwood Branch: Program Room

This event is intended for babies up to 24 months.

This is a time for babies up to 24 months and their grown-ups to gather and play. The Library will provide the space and a variety of toys.

Each playgroup includes 15 minutes of stories, rhymes and songs. Parents/guardians must remain with their children.

No older siblings, please.

Kinder Concert

This event is intended for Ages 2 and up

Learn about the viola from Jacqueline Hanson and the piano from Kathryn Goodson, and listen, dance and hear a story with Gari Stein.

Sensory Storytime

This event is intended for age 3-7

Storytime is for everyone!

This special storytime includes 20 minutes of interactive stories, rhymes, and movement, plus 40 minutes of adaptive free play!

This event is designed for young listeners with developmental disabilities and their friends and families.

City of Ann Arbor Recycling Craft: Plastics & Looking Out for Wildlife

Saturday January 20, 2018: 10:00 am to 12:00 pm -- Pittsfield Branch: Program Room

This event is intended for preschool - grade 5

Stop in to transform a plastic container into a winter feeder or shelter for backyard wildlife and use alternatives to plastic to create a compostable version. Learn about threats plastics pose to wildlife, why and how plastics are handled at the recycling center, and try your hand sorting recyclables on our portable conveyor.

Join us for a relaxing and challenging afternoon of chess—one of the world's most popular games! Players of all ages and skill levels are welcome!

Drop in at any point over the course of the program to play old friends and meet new ones. Chess sets are provided.

The father/daughter/uncle musical family of Gemily joins AADL’s Laura Pershin Raynor for a musical storytelling program for the whole family.

This concert includes lots of audience participation, Gemily’s songs for children, and collaborative storytelling with their long-time friend Laura.
