Eldercare Mediation and Family Decision-Making
Sunday February 6, 2011: 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm -- Malletts Creek Branch: Program Room AB
Families with elderly parents and disabled adults facing difficult decisions often feel they have nowhere to turn if conflicts arise. However - help is available! Families struggling with these emotional decisions can turn to facilitation and mediation.
This special presentation, by Eldercare mediators Zena Zumeta and Susan Butterwick will explain the process of mediation and how it can be a powerful tool for families. They will offer checklists, examples of issues to be considered by families making decisions on caregiving, and information for family discussions and access to mediation and facilitation.
