Flu and You: Discussion Led By The Washtenaw Immunization Action Coalition

What awaits us this Fall with the impending arrival of the H1N1 influenza? Be prepared for this unique flu season as The Washtenaw Immunization Action Coalition presents a panel discussion featuring community experts. Topics include: the difference between seasonal and novel (H1N1) influenza, what is influenza and what are the symptoms, and what you can do to keep you and your family healthy during influenza season. The panel includes Zachary Yaksich, a West Bloomfield resident and father of four who lost his 5 year old daughter Alana in 2003 due to complications of the flu. Other Panel experts include: Diana Torres-Burgos, MD, MPH, Medical Director of the Washtenaw County Health Dept., Holly Ross, MD, Packard Community Clinic, and Laura Bauman, RN, MPH, Epidemiologist, Washtenaw County Health Dept.
