Analuiza Torres da Silva is a ballerina of the Indian Classical style, called Kuchipudi. Kuchipudi style originated as a form of theatrical dance revolving in the themes of the Hindu mythology. It combines gracious, rhythmic steps with symbolic hand gestures and facial expressions. The result is a rich and spiritually meaningful dance that is extremely enjoyable and entertaining. Analuiza will dance a few pieces of her repertoire and tell us more about this beautiful, captivating art.
