Introduction To Machine Learning

Friday February 22, 2013: 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm -- Downtown Library: Training Center

How can we build systems that automatically learn from data and recognize patterns as humans do? Acquire a basic knowledge of fundamental ideas in machine learning, how to build systems to learn from Big Data and make intelligent predictions, as well as how to build your own system for automatic handwritten digit classification in Octave.

This class is designed for individuals with strong intermediate computer skills. It is suggested that students prepare by having familiarity with Octave/MATLAB or attending the Feb. 15 class, Introduction To Programming - Octave/MATLAB.

You are welcome to attend all three workshops (February 8, 15 & 22- all dealing with programming issues) - but it is not a requirement for participation
