Did you know that there are actually Professional Santa Claus Schools - and the one in Denver is run by Susen Mesco, Master Santa Claus Trainer since 1983? Want to know more about what it takes to fill Santa's big boots????

Join us for the delightful 2011 documentary Becoming Santa. This hilarious 93-minute film, winner of the 2011 Audience Award at the South By Southwest Film Festival, tells the true story of one ordinary man's quest to become the perfect Santa Claus - he bleaches his hair, goes to Professional Santa School and tries to do everything Santa is asked to do. But can one be merry ALL the time, as Santa is supposed to be???? What is life like after he receives his Santa diploma?

We follow stocky, middle-aged Jack Sanderson through his training and preparation and as he works as a sidewalk Santa, does home visits, rides a Polar Express Train and participates in a parade. Along the way, we meet many other ordinary people who are keeping alive the Santa spirit as professional Santas. We hear their hopes and aspirations and learn about the history and origin of Santa Claus and the benefits of belief.
