A Toast to the Truffula Trees With Crazy Dr. Seuss Hats - For All Ages!

Thursday March 15, 2012: 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm -- Downtown Library: Multi-Purpose Room

Celebrate Read Across America and the Lorax's fight to save the Truffula Trees by making kooky Seuss hats with recycled materials. All ages are invited!

NEA's Read Across America Day, NEA's national reading celebration, takes place each year on or near the birthday of Dr. Seuss in March. The theme is green for a very special 2012 Read Across America celebration which showcases Dr. Suess' bestseller "The Lorax." Across the country, thousands of schools, libraries, and community centers will participate by bringing together kids, teens, and books.

The National Education Association is building a nation of readers through this signature program. Now in its thirteenth year, Read Across America focuses on motivating children and teens to read through events, partnerships, and reading resources.
