But, what is the best way to steer clear of preventable injuries and stay healthy? Orthopedic Specialist Dr. Robert Williams will discuss the various types of sports injuries and will share techniques that you can use to keep from getting sidelined. Learn how to train smarter, regardless of your sport.

Playgroups

This is a time for babies up to 24 months and their grown-ups to gather and play. The Library will provide the space and a variety of toys.

Each playgroup includes 15 minutes of stories, rhymes and songs. Parents/guardians must remain with their children.

Imagine sharing the photos from your last party with friends and family all over the world without spending a dime or forcing your relatives to create needless accounts. Flickr and other photo sharing sites allow users to create and share albums of photos in a simple, straightforward way. Flickr is also a great way to protect and preserve your photos to avoid tragic loss from water, fire damage, etc. Participants will create Flickr accounts and learn how to upload photos and create albums to share.

File Management

Creating a PowerPoint Presentation

Participants will review PowerPoint tools, create a presentation, and practice inserting files, animations and transitions. Participants will publish a presentation to the web and package the presentation to CD. This class requires knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint basics.

Participants will be introduced to features such as highlighting, cutting, pasting, spell-check, grammar check, and saving to disk. Basic computer and mouse skills experience is required.

Microsoft Word Insert

Tuesday April 27, 2010: 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm -- Traverwood Branch: Training Center

Learn how to insert Headers, Footers, Page Breaks, Section Breaks, Columns, Tables, Symbols, Hyperlinks, Footnotes, Watermarks, and AutoText such as a Table of Contents into your Microsoft Word document. This class requires knowledge of Microsoft Word basics.
