Building Web Applications with Python I

Monday July 29, 2013: 12:00 pm to 3:30 pm -- Downtown Library: Training Center

Learn how to build applications using Google App Engine.

In this class we will discuss the basics of web sites, web servers, and modern web applications. Following this discussion, we will learn how to build applications in Python using Google App Engine. By the end of the class, students will have built their first web application, and deployed it to Google's servers.

Basic computer and mouse experience is required. Classes are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Classrooms will open 15 minutes before the class start times.

Flying Aces - Professional Frisbee Disc Team

The Flying Aces Frisbee Team entertains with information, humor, athletic skills, amazing feats, tricks and just plain silliness! The show ends with an audience participation contest for autographed Flying Aces Frisbees!

Geometric Origami 101

This 2012 documentary is the story of a chess team at an inner city junior high school that's won more national championships than any other in the U.S. The film follows the personal and team challenges the kids face.

GeekED! Game Jam Contest!

8th Annual Lego Contest @ Kensington Court

It's the 8th Annual LEGO Contest, this year held at Kensington Court, 610 Hilton Blvd., near Briarwood Mall. Get complete rules and guidelines at aadl.org or any AADL location!

9 AM - 3 PM: Drop-off objects at Kensington Court 3-6 PM: Doors are closed for judging 6-8 PM: Doors are open to the public for viewing 8 - 8:30 PM: Awards Ceremony, with prizes in six categories: Preschool, Grades K-2, Grades 3-5, Grades 6-8, Grades 9-12 & Adult.

All projects must go home with their creators that night.

MineCrafters Guild

AADL's Minecraft server is up and running!

We're hosting our own Minecraft server and we need you to help us build "Ann Arbor."

Join us IRL (in real life) or in-game to discuss the future of "Ann Arbor" and the server @AADL. It's a great way to meet people you've seen on the server and co-ordinate new builds.
