This 2012 documentary is the story of a chess team at an inner city junior high school that's won more national championships than any other in the U.S. The film follows the personal and team challenges the kids face.

This event is for Grade 6 to adult.

Paper Collage Cut-Out Animation Workshop for Teens

Saturday August 10, 2013: 11:00 am to 4:00 pm -- Downtown Library: Multi-Purpose Room

Animation Professor Brad Pattullo offers a workshop in an animation style used by Terry Gilliam for Monty Python's Flying Circus and in the original episode of South Park. Make a cut-out scene and characters and learn the basics of animation to make a short film. Lunch will be provided.

This event is for Grades 6-12.
