Kids Rock Music Workshop With The Not-Its!

Meet The Not-Its! in person on the afternoon of their Top Of The Park Kids Rock performance.
This hands-on music creation workshop will give music lovers and fans a chance to learn how The Not-Its! combine crunchy guitars with smooth, four-part harmonies, to create pop gems.
Their high-energy stage performances are guaranteed to get audiences on their feet and jumping around with delight. Their debut album, We Are The Not-Its!, took the kindie rock scene by storm, receiving a Fids & Family Music Award for one of the best family music albums of 2009. It's clear they are on a mission to make kids dance, with up-tempo, power-pop hits families love.
Meet them in person as they teach you how they create their fantastic sounds. This event is for grades K - 5.

Make a Cast Fossil

Rock out with us! Make your own cast fossil out of clay and Plaster of Paris while exploring a process that has created fossils in sedimentary rock for billions of years. If you'd like, bring a small, hard item that can fit in the palm of your hand -- such as a sea shell -- or you can use some objects here.

Puppetry Around the World

Experience how cultures around the world created and performed with puppets at this one-of-a-kind show! Presented by a master puppeteer who was invited to study puppeteering with the Jim Henson Company, this event is filled hilarious puppet skits with audience participation. Learn about puppets from India, Africa, Indonesia, and Japan!

Cup Stack Attack

Sport stacking (aka cup stacking or speed stacking) is an individual and team sport that involves stacking special plastic cups in specific sequences in as little time as possible. Learn how to cup stack, or work at beating your best time! Prizes will be awarded to the top three stackers in two divisions.

As always, you'll need your Nintendo DS, DSi or 3DS and a copy of your Pokemon game (sorry, black and white won't work). Big screen and Union Rooms battles are used for admittance into the finals, so be sure to have Pokemon, level 30 or under trained for battle. They'll be needed for qualifying rounds!
