Felt Star Keychain

Make a cute little star keychain out of felt to hang on your keyring, backpack, or anywhere you'd like! We'll use basic hand sewing techniques during this event. If you don't know how, we'll show you!

Crocheted Beaded Bracelets!

This event is intended for grade 6 to adult.

Local crafter, Beth Battey, returns for this unique hands-on workshop. Using very small crochet hooks make your own beaded bracelet. Be warned, once you make one you'll be hooked and want to keep making them! All supplies provided. Previous experience with crochet is required.

Mini-Monster Stuffies

This event is intended for grade 6 to adult.

Local crafter, Beth Battey, returns to teach this fun, monstrously creative, sewing workshop. Make your own unique stuffed monster! All supplies provided. This is an intricate project that will require the entire time and patience to complete.

Paper Ornaments

These paper ornaments are cute, quick, and easy to make. Come to our event and make a bunch to hang on a tree, your fridge, or anywhere you'd like! We'll be making mouse, tree, and peppermint candy ornaments.

Tiny (Fake) Taxidermy

Tuesday November 18, 2014: 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm -- Malletts Creek Branch: Program Room

This event is intended for adults and teens grade 6 and up.


For this event, we'll be making tiny taxidermy heads for you to decorate with! Unlike real taxidermy, no animals will be harmed, and your taxidermy heads will be small enough to fit in your locker, bedroom, or anywhere else that needs a little pop of fake wildlife!

Pete the Cat Fanmail!

Monday December 22, 2014: 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm -- Traverwood Branch: Program Room

This event is intended for grades K - 5.

Make a Pete the Cat puppet and write and illustrate letters that will be sent to Eric Litwin, author of the popular Pete the Cat series.

Make Your Own Bubble Magnets

Monday February 16, 2015: 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm -- Traverwood Branch: Program Room

This event is intended for Grades 6-adult

Cut out pictures from magazines and comic books, then glue flat glass marbles on them to magnify the image. Attach a magnet to the back and you have cool, useful decorations for metal surfaces in households, dorm rooms, and offices! You can even make a series of magnets based on your favorite book or movie.
