Learn, Build and Play with LEGO

This event is intended for Grades K-5 with an adult

Join us for an afternoon of LEGO building and learning with trained Bricks 4 Kidz teachers leading the way. Using LEGO Technic sets children will learn, build and play while experiencing a variety of activities designed to foster teamwork, build self confidence and problem solving skills. Bricks 4 Kidz programs aim to explore math and science concepts while having fun in a non-competitive setting.

Chesstastic

Come challenge players of all ages to fun and stimulating games of chess! Chesstastic is great way to hang out with friends and meet new people while learning about the game of chess and improving your chess abilities. All sets and pieces are provided, as are refreshments.

A Visit From Chillers Author Jonathan Rand

This event is intended for Grades 2 - 5

Jonathan Rand, local author of the popular youth series Michigan Chillers and American Chillers, discusses how he became a writer and how reading and writing are necessary in life. While his books can be spooky, this talk will not be!

There will be books for sale and an author signing after the presentation. This event is geared towards children age 7 and up.

Nurturing Baby & You: For Babies to Pre-Walkers

This event is intended for children age 3 months to pre-walkers with their adult (no older siblings, please)

Gari Stein leads this unique program that focuses on play, movement and touch, featuring rhymes, tunes for everyday routines, massage, waltzing, folk dance, instruments, lullabies, and more. This event promotes healthy development and strong bonds derived from research on the body-brain connection. It’s a time to share resources and support and turn cranky to calm in a warm, gentle, and nurturing environment. No older siblings, please.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid Book Release Party!

Tiny (Fake) Taxidermy

This event is intended for adults and teens grade 6 and up.


For this event, we'll be making tiny taxidermy heads for you to decorate with! Unlike real taxidermy, no animals will be harmed, and your taxidermy heads will be small enough to fit in your locker, bedroom, or anywhere else that needs a little pop of fake wildlife!
