There are multiple ways you can listen to songs and albums from Magnatune. There is no limit to streaming or downloading from the AADL catalog, so feel free to listen or add to your computer or mp3 player as many songs or albums as you wish. You will need to log in with your aadl.org username and password. If you don't have a username and password on the site, please register for an account first. All Magnatune music can be listened to in its entirety directly in your browser. To listen to specific songs, click the play icon next to the title in the track listing. To listen to an entire album, select the play icon at the top of the track listing.
Magnatune music can be downloaded as songs or as albums.
- To download specific songs, click on the "Download Track" link next to the title in the track list. These files will be downloaded to your computer desktop or downloads folder. Individual songs can be listened to on your computer by double-clicking or by dragging to your media software (iTunes, Real Player, or Windows Media Player).
- To download an entire album, use the "Download MP3 Album" button at the top of the album page. The album will download as a zipped file to your desktop or downloads folder. Double-clicking on this file will unzip it and create a folder containing all of the songs as separate mp3s and an m3u file. When double-clicked, the m3u will play all the tracks as a full album in your media player and add the entire album to your media library.
Free Lossless Audio Codec (FLAC)
FLAC is an audio format similar to MP3, but lossless, meaning that audio is compressed in FLAC without any loss in quality. The FLAC encoded file is available under All formats.
