Dixboro "Church House" Addition, 1949-51

Dixboro "Church House" Addition, 1949-51 image
Description

The first major addition to the Dixboro Church occurred in 1949-51 as a "T" shape building was formed by a new two-story structure built primarily by volunteer labor. In this photo, you can see the original white church appearing around the corner of the new building. Local philanthropist, Harry B. Earhart, matched volunteer labor hours with actual dollars toward the building's construction. It was nearly debt-free when completed.
